FRANK BOLOCK is an accomplished acrylic and watercolr artist. A native of Pittsburgh PA now residing in Tampa FL. He has amassed a body of woks since the 1970’s and pursued art full time since 1997. Since that time his work has been accepted into many national shows and he’s been the recipient of numerous awards,

Bolock had 2 successful gallery shows at Gallery Z in Pittsburgh’s south side. The show in February 2000 was reviewed by Pittsburgh Weekly who commented “...Bolock’s “Super Model in a Fourth Dimension” is at times erotic, abstract, religious and academic” as well as “… a refreshingly unique vision - one part Norman Rockwell, one part “Black Hole Sun” video..”.  The show in August 2001 was reviewed by the Pittsburgh Tribune Review who said “.. Bolock’s odd juxtapositions create a jovial experience when viewing these paintings ..formalism is not an issue here as the message overrides the medium” and “ He’s at his best with these quirky combinations. In “Last Cup’ he has painted the exterior of Tuscany Cafe. In the window, Einstein, Jesus and Socrates can be seen sipping lattes as the Angel of Death walks by with his cup of joe”. He continues to have gallery shows in the Tampa Bay area - two shows were held in downtown Tampa - The Kotler Gallery in June of 2009 and the TECO Plaza Art Gallery in November of 2009. His next show is February 4, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:00PM at the Quorum Hotel located at West Shore and Cypress in Tampa.

Currently he teaches watercolor classes at Life Enrichment Center in Tampa and is Exhibition Director for Tampa Realistic Artists in addition to gallery shows, demos and workshops.
